Scallop Yellow Squash, otherwise known as Summer Squash or Patty Pan Squash, is a bush squash that produces bright yellow disc-shaped fruit with scalloped edges. Scallop Yellow Squash is fast-growing, high-yielding, and compact enough to be grown in a pot or container. Scallop Yellow Squash can be picked when young, and frequent harvesting will encourage more plant growth.

Cucurbita pepo | 10 seeds per packet

Sow seeds directly into your garden bed or pots approximately 15mm deep, leaving around 60cm between Scallop Yellow Squash seeds. Alternatively, you can raise seedlings in a protected area (in a greenhouse or indoors) and plant out after about 3 to 4 weeks making sure the last frost has passed. Leave approximately 90 to 100cm between rows of Scallop Yellow Squash. Keep soil moist (but not soggy!). Best sown in spring, but the sowing season will depend on your climate*. Ideally, sow seeds when the temperature is between 21 to 32°C. Germination occurs within 7 to 10 days. Scallop Yellow Squash reach full maturity within 50 to 70 days.
