Sow seeds direct or raise seedlings in a protected area (in a greenhouse or indoors). Sow seeds approximately 15mm deep. Start seeds in spring or autumn* to avoid extremely hot or cold temperatures. Germination occurs within 10 to 20 days. The ideal temperature for germination is within 8 to 25°C. Leave 30cm between transplanted seedlings or sown seeds, and 20 to 40cm between rows of spinach. This variety of spinach reaches full maturity within 50 to 70 days.
